Perpetual Profession of Sr Matlene Hatalan Falzon and Sr Anne Marie Mifsud
On Wednesday 8th December 2021, Sr Matlene Hatalan Falzon and Sr Anne Marie Mifsud celebrated their Perpetual Profession. The celebration was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church, San Gwann, led by His Grace Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna. The Profession rite was received by the Provincial Superior Rev. Sr Claudia Zammit and the witnesses were Rev Sr Gabriella Grech and Rev. Sr Josephine Xuereb.
Perpetual Profession Prayer Vigil
On Sunday 5th December 2021, a vigil of prayer was held in preparation for the Perpetual Profession of Sr Matlene Hatalan Falzon and Sr Anne Marie Mifsud. The vigil was held at St Francis Church, Msida. The main celebrant was Rev. Fr George Schembri.
President of Malta visits our London Community
On Wednesday 17th November 2021, the President of Malta, His Excellency Dr George Vella together with his wife Lady Miriam Vella, visited our Sisters in London.
Beginning of Postulancy
On Sunday 14th November 2021, Ms Francisca Chinenye Okoye, started her Postulancy. The Rite was celebrated during Vespers. Present for the occasion was Mother Provincial, Sr Claudia Zammit, and Sr Elaine Spiteri, Provincial Councillor.
Mass at the Cemetry
On Saturday 6th November 2021, the members of the Maltese Province gathered at the cemetery where mass was celebrated for the repose of the deceased sisters. Mass was celebrated by Fr Julian Sammut ofm and after mass he blessed the tombs.
First Profession
On 1st September 2021, Novice Rosemary Onyinyechi Akamnonu and Novice Mary Omolabake Olawumi celebrated their Temporary Profession. The celebration was held at St Francis Church, Msida. The main celebrant was Rev. Fr Anthony Chircop OFM, Provincial Minister.
First Profession Prayer Vigil
On 31st August 2021, a prayer vigil was held in preparation of the Temporary Profession of Novice Rosemary Onyinyechi Akamnonu and Novice Mary Omolabake Olawumi.
Renewal of Vows
On the 2nd December 2020, Sr Matlene Hatalan Falzon and Sr Anne Marie Mifsud renewed their vows. We wish them Holy Perseverance and keep them in our prayers.
Celebration of the 140th Anniversary in Malta
On the 4th September 2020, we celebrated in Malta the 140th Anniversary of our foundation. Mass was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Charles J. Scicluna accompanied by Rev Fr Twanny Chircop, Provincial Minister of the Friars Minor and Rev. Fr Julian Sammut ofm.
140th Anniversary at the Mother House in Gozo
On 1st September 2020 marked the 140th Anniversary of the foundation of our Congregation. A Mass was celebrated at the Mother House, Gozo by His Excellency Bishop Anton Teuma. After mass we all gathered at the entrance where Bishop Anton Teuma read the Decree issued on 1st September 1880 announcing the initiation of the Congregation.
